I Had All Intentions of Sending Something Completely Different Out This Week

I had all intentions of sending something completely different out this week. It wasn’t feeling right, so I started over.

The content that I share with all of you is a combination of health, wellness + lifestyle.  I also weave in my story and my experiences in hopes that they will speak to you, resonate with you and perhaps offer you some comfort and guidance.

So here is what I have for you my friends...

The past few weeks have been tough. Feeling all the feels.

Death, grieving the loss, trying to help my kid through something when it doesn’t make sense to even me, the hurricanes, and those that I love who have been affected by them, to the awful tragedy that just took place in Las Vegas.  Woah.

In life, there is going to be struggle, disappointments, challenges, setbacks, and dark days.  It’s inevitable.  In order to get through such things I maintain and generate hope and gratitude.

There have been tears, anger, listening, honoring, and getting quiet.  During these times, I turn to my little toolbox, as I like to call it, and pull things out to help me manage (I have shared the contents of my “toolbox” in previous blogs). This of course is not always easy when struck with a blow, but nonetheless...they are a tremendous help.

I felt the need to speak to these latest events.  I typically don’t share on such things, but it has been weighing on me. My intention is that I when I share my personal experiences with all of you it includes the good, the bad and the ugly. Real life.

It is in times like these when the world erupts in sadness, when things can not be explained that we can sometimes feel as though we have no power and are left feeling hopeless. It is important to give ourselves time to process and grieve. It is also important to remember this, this is the time for us to come together, to rise up, to show up.  We are a force of good and love.

Now more than ever, please don’t forget the softness of self care on hard days.

“When life is sweet, say thank you + celebrate.
When life is bitter, say thank you + grow."

All love,
